Brilliant

This look at life and things of value is really well done, not to mention quite a few laugh-out-loud moments.

Gervaise's wicked comments to and about all the stupidity he perceived around him, worked especially well in the the beginning of the first season. It maintains it's sharp wit even afterwards.

His wife dying makes for a good vehicle to show us what is and isn't really all that important in life.

I like the characters in this show. Almost everyone's a bit eccentric. Everything Gervais wants to impart works well with his interactions with each of them.

Highly impressed with him and this show.
