I just watched it and I didn't think it was scary. It wasn't a terrible movie although I had to fast forward it a few times as nothing much was happening. It took a long time to get going.

I keep looking at it on the DVD store shelf. I like my mysteries a bit on the slow side. So it might suit despite what you say. I haven't parted with my money yet.
