Then the evil spirit within the doll will transfer to the wood chipper, and then you'll have an even bigger problem.

Evil spirit is one thing, demons are a whole other level. The demon is attached to the doll. If you destroy the doll, the demon can attach itself to you. A good night's rest will never happen ever again.
