Kind of inane series with a clever ending, but nothing to involve the viewer 2/5

I just watched the HBOmax Original series, "The Head".

"The Head" takes place in an Antarctic research station beginning at the change of shift where the normal working staff leaves for the bitterly cold Antarctic winter ( our Northern hemisphere Summer ) and a skeleton crew remains to look after the habitat and take care of things.

After the leaving the regular staff comes back to the station, but they have to come back early because they have lost contact with the station. They come back to a massacre where it seems everyone in the station is dead. As it happens there is a massive storm coming in ( of course! ;-) ) which isolated the returning staff and leaves them on their own to investigate the disaster.

To complicate matters the leader of the returning team is the husband of one on the woman scientists who stayed over for the winter, and his wife is missing.

Slowly, bit by bit they must investigate and try to find out what happened, and the plot moves forward slowly, and I have to say in my own option there is little relationships between the personnel, just enough to drive the mystery, and it makes for a rather tedious series.

It help my interest, barely, until the end, and it was written cleverly with some twists and turns along the way, but I would not say I can really recommend it unless you are desperate for something new to watch during the pandemic and this subject interests you.

I'd give it a 2/5 because there is not much new, and nothing really outstanding, and as I said the characters are more irritating than interesting. Rated 2/5.
