Another show that portrays fake history, there were no black female players in the league

Why does Hollywood think it can just rewrite history to fit the narrative?

One way in which the league didn’t evolve was racial integration. When Wrigley started the league in 1943, it followed the MLB’s policy of not hiring Black players. Yet after Jackie Robinson became the first Black player to join the MLB in 1947, the women’s league continued to exclude Black women.

The late pitcher Mamie “Peanut” Johnson said that when she attempted to try out for the league in the early 1950s, it turned her away because she was Black. Barred from the women’s league, Johnson followed in the steps of Toni Stone, the first woman to join the Black men’s leagues. Johnson became the second woman to play in these leagues, and one of only three women to do so (the third was Connie Morgan).

Maybe you should actually watch the show before making a post complaining about something that didn't happen.

reply

Maybe you should pay attention the black women are in the league uniforms.

Again, you're completely talking out of your ass here and making assumptions. She's wearing A uniform, but not a league one. It's pretty much her main plot point that she's a very good pitcher, but they won't let her play in the women's league.

LMAO...YOU SOUND SO DUMB...SCREAM WOKE BE A JOKE.

There won't be any black women on the team. It will add the story of talented black women being discriminated against by racists and the pain they endure.

The movie and the show is all fictional anyway so I don't see why people are complaining. Other than the fact that there was a woman's league, none of the film characters were anything more than amalgamations of several different players.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah, I love how people who complain about fictional series' faking history when they haven't even watched the show or if they had missed the entire plot point.
