Domestic Drama with Supernatural Element

The domestic drama of the older man with a shadow on his past married to a younger woman... Jealousy, his dark past, their adored little daughter... And a very strange house they have rented in Wales.

I know it is based on a novel but the weirdness, initially, reminded me of House of Leaves, another novel, by Mark Z. Danielewski - and of the Twilight Zone episode "Little Girl Lost" - with a touch of "The Backrooms" (as seen on YouTube). Overall, I was enjoying it but the ending, while not a huge surprise, was a disappointment. I guess, based on the things it reminded me of, that I expected more from a story concerning a house that is bigger on the inside and subject to changing it's layout.
