How did he know Elena was "at work" the morning after the auction? That's what he told Miguel when he asked.
She went to her shop straight from the auction. She was wearing the same dress. She never went home to change.
Her husband testified he was home sleeping all night.

kids ask about there parents all the time. it wasn't exactly a great situation for the kid.
