Retarded beast attacks on the Mandalorian's beach/cave?

So, they have set up a base in a cave. Presumably, like us, they would know what dangers are around their own environment?

Apparently not. It's right next to a fuckin' lake where massive carnivores will eat them. Then, fighting like supreme warriors we've been repeatedly told about, a dozen of them will easily get whacked.

And why bother with sentries on the cliffs (let alone immediate vicinity)... there are only massive birds waiting to carry your kids off?

People who write those Disney shows are not that deep and they write it for 13 years children.

They needed big action scene and bada-bum so they made up some beast that destroyed that ship. Never to be seen again.

What do these giant beasts normally eat? How do they get so big? These planets look pretty empty, except for giant predators. Where is their usual prey?

And how is it cool for the Mandalorians to keep killing endangered creatures, just because they're hungry?
I guess they did save the 3 pterodactyl chicks.
