I'm not sentimental, but...
Well, actually, I am sentimental.. a bit..
And when he knocked on the door of that house, and John Lennon opened it, and was standing there, I got a bit of a lump in my throat.
Anybody else?

I wasn't expecting that. Whole movie got to me, but that scene was especially poignant.
I assume the other Beatles weren't living.
Yeh, I'd say they didn't want to try to put the other Beatles in, because it would be difficult to get all the resemblances as perfect as Robert Carlyle's. They probably didn't want to push their luck.
shareThey were going to have all four, but likely thought it wasn't needed and would've taken away from the Lennon scene.

Those other appearances sound like they would have been fun. But yes, they'd have blunted the impact of Lennon.
Still, Paul McCartney walking the three dogs and calling out to them, "Vera! Chuck! Dave!" would have made me smile.
The film did a good job of making you think the actual Beatles, the people themselves, didn't exist.
So when the twist came, it worked well.
It was powerful. I was awed.
