The Applegate/Cardinelli Crying Competition (NO SPOILERS)

You gotta hand it to Christina Applegate and Linda Cardinelli.

Both actresses proved, on Dead to Me, that they have a very special talent: the ability to cry on cue, for real.

There are not cuts away and back -- so as to give an assistant time to put glycerine drops in their eyes to induce tears.

No, each of these gals have the talent to take their eyeballs all the way from reddening, to watering, to puddling up, to streaming...big, real tears.

And near the end of Season Two, the tears don't stop gushing. Hell, Applegate even cries them at a City Council meeting.

As the competition goes, its almost a tie, until near the very end of the season, we get a close-up on Applegate's face and its as if it has become a big, wet MASK of flowing tears as she blubbers away until Cardinelli -- surely up for the challenge -- tears up and sobs in return.
