Anyone watching?
I was riveted. I am drawn to these films right now about the last normal dats before disaster hits.

shareWatched the first episode. Seemed too reminiscent of other World War II personal stories I've seen. Not sure if worth continuing.
Four eps in and it is just meh. It follows a set of characters in different parts of Europe during WW2. Some storylines intertwine, others do not. My main problem with it is that none of the main characters are likable.
shareThanks, good to know, though I like the Helen Hunt character. I would like Kasia, but her actions don't seem to make any sense. She marries for visa purposes, but decides to have sex anyway? Then she substitutes her younger brother for herself, which would seem to be a total fail as far as the visa is concerned.
shareYeah, it's okay if you don't mind the complete rewrite of history in order to put in the modern woketarian musts.
This faux drama is one of these "we are RE-IMAGINING world war two history" things, a complete fake history "lesson" one after the other with modern ways of speaking, modern behavior patterns, modern relationships, and to make viewers think the way things are today are the way it's always been. It's to cover up their erasure of actual history via telly.
The only character who seems historically genuine on the British side is Sean Bean as dad, with his amazing portrayal of the "shell shocked" Great War squaddie.
