Did they film both Jungle and Level at the same time?

I saw Next Level at the theater then subsequently saw Jungle on TV. Neither were of my choosing but I guess that's another story.
Watching the televised one while not remembering or caring about titles or sequels, I thought I was watching what I'd seen in the theater, but nothing about the story was at all familiar.
The characters looked exactly like the story I'd seen before, so much so I thought it was the same movie, but somehow it seemed like I'd completely forgotten everything that happened.
Finally I realized this was a different film but it looks exactly like the other one. Don't think I've ever seen two separate movies that looked so much alike, and I'd heard some studios were trying this - making films and their sequels simultaneously, (for obvious reasons if you think about it).

And sorry, but this looks exactly like the kind of junk they would pull this with.
