Michael Ironside

Seeing him as Hutch's boss in this movie and I hardly recognized him as he looks like he gained a ton of weight. Almost double his size from what he looked like in the 80s.

reply

He's lived a full life

reply

He's one of those B-list actors that was really very good and entertaining and made any film he was in better.

"Give me a little salute."

reply

I'd say he's a character actor who has worked steadily since the 80s.

reply

I apologize, calling him B-List actor is insulting to his work.

He IS a character actor and a fine one at that.

reply

And eaten steadily since then too.

He’s fat.
Everyone’s now fat.

reply

His head once exploded and he lost both his arms! And he has an insect allergy or something. But a great guy (extra great nowadays, apparently). nonetheless.

reply

yeah but he was doing Sharon Stone....so there's that.

reply

He was a chuck to Sharon stone.

reply

Did you mean cuck?

reply

Indeed I did

reply

I forgot abt Total Recall!!! LOL!

reply

The man is 71 years old and has survived cancer three times. Hardly surprising he looks different.

reply

I didn't know so that would make sense.

reply

Although it might be appropriate for him to change his name to Pillowsides these days, I've liked him in even some of the worst movies he's been in (e.g. Highlander II being about the worst of them, of course, but even something like the low-budget adaptation of Koontz's "Watchers" was somewhat enjoyable, in part because of him, although the dog helped too). I mean the man has 272 credits to his name for crying out loud. He wasn't very picky about his roles even back in his prime, but has worked steadily, and that deserves a lot of respect. He has a natural talent that works well for the screen, and elevates any movie by his mere presence.

reply

I thought he was dead.

reply

i was happy to see him. he was great in 2015's turbo kid.

reply

Yeah it’s always nice to see him again was in a couple of my favs long ago, Top Gun and Total Recall.

reply

he's great in those

reply

Loved him as a hard ass in the V series in the 80’s.
