How many alt reich threads crying over the exact same thing are needed?
Seriously. Try taking it down a notch for a change fellas.

shareI'm sorry, but that information belongs to an internal protocol sent by the Alt Führer himself. To request that information, you need to ask in German and to post a pic of you wearing a Hitler moustache.
shareI don't mind. Some are actually interested in the history of the period, foster some interesting discussions.
I think it's the progressive themes in these movies should be taken down a notch, that is why people are complaining.
I don't mind the content of these messages, but when it is in the way of storytelling or making a good movie, that becomes a problem.
After all nobody wants to watch propaganda films. I am kind of fed up almost every movie & TV show is pushing these messages. I mean we get it, enough of it.
What exactly is in the way of good storytelling? What propaganda is being pushed?
shareIf you have indeed watched the movie and not familiar with the history of the period then one thing was probably puzzling you: What is the reform bill? Why all the fuss about it? Why are so many people willing to kill for it?
That is in the center of the plot, but nothing was told about it. Why?
Enola Holmes movie should be set in 1884 when Representation of the People Act 1884, or the Third Reform Act, was passed. That should be the reform bill mentioned in the movie, at least chronologically, if we are faithful to the history.
That bill extended voting rights to about 60% of men, that means significantly more commoners are allowed to vote.
The grandmother felt strongly about not letting the country fall in hands of uneducated commoners, which fits the story.
But the movie for the sake of woke elements and feminism, created an all women secret organization, fought for the bill. But why would they fight for a bill only allowed men to vote? Even willing to kill for it. That does not make sense, does it?
And there should not be any colored people involved because British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act 1914 was passed much later. No colored people were British citizens before, not without special royal decree. So colored people won't be able to vote even after the reform bill was passed because they were not British citizens.
I think that is why it was never clearly stated what the reform bill was and leaving audience puzzling about it.
If we do the movie correctly, the organization would be predominately white men, Enola's mother could still be a part of it, but that is about it. And we could talk about what the reform bill was about. We can still have a strong female lead in the world of white men but that is still too white, not woke enough, is it? Not if we have more blatant political messages to push and colored women to cast.
Is the premise of a teenage girl master detective & crime solver a historically accurate concept of that time period?
shareLike I put it in my post: https://moviechat.org/tt7846844/Enola-Holmes/5f728f27005241318af3b64b/The-background-plot-hidden-in-the-movie that is sort of ridiculous.
But one girl is not history. Enola could be a homosexual cannibal serial killer (To be honest another possible outcome of how she was raised), that would have been weird too. But even then that is just one weird individual.
One detail, one fictional girl is not history... as long as we're considering this series individually. That changes when we consider it in the context of other media produced nowadays.
To explain it with an example: the girl could be a homosexual cannibal serial killer, and that'd be fine. However, if you check every other series and each and every homosexual character is consistently portrayed as a cannibal serial killer, you should start to guess whether there may be some agenda.
Don't play stupid, stupid.

I don't think you actually read all the threads if this is how you refer to them.
Hey dumb fuck, what is alt reich?
shareIt’s not that difficult to understand is it?
shareAltreich or Altes Reich is a German word meaning "Old Empire", which can be used to refer to Hitler's infamous 3rd Reich. I think OP using it to insult more conservative viewers and implying they are racists. Also baiting questions like yours to imply conservatives are also ignorant.
shareYou really only need two.
One for those decent genuine upfront honest racist folks who just don't want to see any racial minorities in their movies.
And one for the people who don't have any issue whatsoever with people of any background. It's just they don't want to see them in the high quality, realistic historical movies that they are using to inform themselves / reinforce their understanding of what life was really like in that era.
They obviously have a genuine, quite different grievance and therefore this second thread category absolutely should exist...
