One of the better horror/comedies in recent years

Was not going to see this. Didn't care at all. It looked like standard, cheap, money-grab horror. Having zero interest in IT2, let alone anything else in the theaters lately, we saw this based on a nephew's recommendation (a mistaken inference as he had not even seen it). Turned out to be a great film. It is not zany nor slapstick but has that real-reaction-comedy going for it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It works for the chilling moments and has some good laughs.

My one complaint is this: Why didn't Brian(?) stand up and kick the bed post he was cuffed to instead of pursuing the friction escape?

and the ending is WTF worthy.. bravo

It gives me hope for Horror films. Tired of factory-made schlock.

Yeah, it would have taken a week to cut through that part of the bed with the chain of the handcuffs. It would have rubbed his wrists wrong long before "cutting" through that wood.
