Is this scarier than Babadook/Conjuring/Insidious?
Well?
I'm eager to find out... Love the trailer. It comes out in wide release this Friday, though.
shareNo. Just my opinion. But do yourself a favor and don’t go into the theatre expecting a “horror” film. It was a very good picture tho, and I think it would be much better received as a family drama/thriller
shareis this another Mother! ???
shareI actually haven’t seen mother!... I know I know... it’s something I will have to watch alone, because everyone I know that has seen it will not watch it again .. with me =\ or with anyone else for that matter..
.. I think ‘Craig James Review’ pretty much sums up the good/bad of Heredity. It’s a 3 min uTube video... beware of some spoilers if you go to watch...
You do should. It's one of the most shocking WTF movies I have ever seen. And it's also one of the best of the year.
shareMother! Or Hereditary?
shareI meant mother!.
Hereditary is a terrifying with a few shocking scenes.
I’m going to watch mother! this week
shareLet me know what's your thoughts on mother!.
shareAbsolutely! My bf & friends who have seen it continue telling me it’s not worth it. I’ve wanted to see it since I first saw the trailer. I’ve been putting it off, and I’m excited to watch it!
I’ve been on an insane movie binge for the past 5 years, this past year has been all about horrror, psychological thrillers, SCI fi.... after not being into any of the mentioned genres since the early 2000’s I had a lot of catching up to do!
I’ve pretty much seen everything worth watching in those genres + more (i think) - I’m always open to recommendations! Although I’ve had a very hard time finding *any* interest in the shiet they call “comedy” these days - and certaintly could do with more horror anthologies in general (which are my fav) but i look forward to watching mother!(alone) lol and will let you know what I think about it!
Horror can be psychological. Horror doesn’t have to have jump scares.
shareI absolutely agree... for instance “The VVitch” (witch) is one of the best horror films I’ve seen with zero jump scares (that I recall).
I’m a fan of all things horror. I’m also a fan of other genres. The OP’s question was “is this scarier than Badadook/Conjuring/Insidious?” - which my reply was No it’s not. These movies do not fit into the same “horror” genre, it’s my opinion - so you can agree or disagree.
This movie is very good, but Idk iT fits into the same horror category as the above mentioned.
Have you seen Hereditary? If so, I’d love to hear what you thought about it.
Well, said.
shareTBH it kinda is another Mother you walk away thinking WTF did I just watch? hahaha
shareBabadook wasn't even really a horror movie more of a thriller I still enjoyed it but it wasn't scary at all. I find movie that mess with your head scarier.
shareThe Conjuring was far scarier...
Hereditary is scarier than the Babadook.
i thought it was scary, but i liked The Conjuring better! To me, that 2013 film was more of a supernatural horror film. Hereditary is almost like a drama than a horror movie.
shareNone of them scared me , although Hereditary was easily the best film of the three in terms of direction, cinematography acting and screenplay
