Greenlanders really got screwed over
So the shelters are in Greenland but there are no actual Greenlanders on them.
shareSo the shelters are in Greenland but there are no actual Greenlanders on them.
shareLol
shareHow do we know that from the movie? Greenland has a very small population is is concentrated in the coastal regions.
Overall I thought this movie was pretty damn good - it gave my my doom porn fix - but it gave my anxiety throughout lol. Well worth the 6 bucks I paid for it!
I LOLed at this comment because the thought HAD crossed my mind, but looking at Wikipedia, it does appear the U.S "owns" a military base in Greenland; so it's not as if the U.S. government went in and pulled a dictatorship thing and just claimed Greenland.
shareDude the whole of Greenland could basically fit inside a small hotel. Heck they probably sent out open invitations so they wouldn't get lonely.
shareHow do we know the other shelter inhabitants are not Greenlanders? There were several shelters. Maybe they all got put together in one place so they could all speak Greenlandic and eat seal soup together.
shareMaybe they had their own shelters. They wouldn't need that many of them.
shareAlso that creepo on the transport truck saying only Americans had a right to the shelters. What an idiot. First, he’s hitched a ride on a smuggling bus into CANADA. Second, he must know about Greenland just like the driver and the other guy did. Third, he’s a bum who offers no skill worthy of saving for the benefit of mankind.
shareIt makes sense that an american military base would only accept americans. Other countries should have their own shelters.
shareIts the end of the world, the comet is hitting and the immigration officer is still on duty... Sorry, that would only happen in the doomed german bunker.
shareOf course. It was american people who funded and built the bunker, why would they let anyone else have it with the limited seating it has?
