A Mr. Rogers flick thats not for the kiddies.
Interesting, yes.
shareWhat part did you feel was inappropriate for children?
shareI haven't seen the movie, but the PG13 rating makes it obvious.
shareI've seen it and I can't imagine which part would warrant a PG-13 rating. Silly.
shareThere is a naked butt of one of the crew members and a few cuss words. Otherwise, that is it. It is fine for kids.
shareYes, you're right. I forgot about that but I would have no problem with a child seeing that part. I agree, I think it's fine for kids.
shareHow about the shot of the naked butt?
shareYes, even the naked butt part was fine. It was a story of one of the crew members who thought it would be funny to moon the camera. It was innocent, not weird.
shareOverall, how was the movie? I'm curious, is the cursing done by Mr. Rogers. I read a very good biography about him two years ago. I did not know he came from a wealthy family. I loved the show as a kid.
shareThe movie was excellent. I would highly recommend it. It was tremendously comforting. The filmmakers actually brought up a few of the topics that used to make me wonder when I was a kid. They addressed the low production values often. Frankly, when I was little, I never noticed this. I did notice the long segments where they used to show him doing mundane tasks, such as, feeding his fish or reading. Even when I was young, I thought it was unusual. I think they said, in the movie, that they wanted to show quiet activities. I guess I see their motives but, after all, it was a little strange to show a person doing these types of things on television. Odd but charming.
shareI agree, it was a great movie. Not only was it a history of Rogers, there was also a lot of history thrown in. . . . .RFK's assassination, the exploding of the Challenger.
sharePBS stations blurred out the naked butt.
shareEspecially the scene where Fred shoots smack with George Romero just before the dental procedure.
(Warning: Joke. Do not take this comment seriously)
