Prove to me that you're no fool; walk across my swimming pool

That's a line from Jesus Christ Superstar, apparently written by Alice Cooper.

Is there a lot of supernatural stuff in this series? Do people who rate the series highly realize the producers have done other faith-based shows? The reviews from atheists are around 5*.

The third miracle, if you are keeping count, is walking on water. After getting to Washington DC following that long drive from Dilley, Al-Masih and a couple thousand of his followers head to the reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial. There Al-Masih makes a proclamation; those that have faith will see the miracle while those that do not will see what they want to see (something to that effect). Al-Masih then proceeds to walk across the pool. On water.

Alice Cooper sang the line but Tim Rice wrote the lyrics for Jesus Christ Superstar.

It doesn't seem to me like there is much supernatural stuff. Anything that could be construed as supernatural was either balanced out or undercut by a logical explanation. For example, in the last episode the kid who tells Aviram that he was brought back to life by Al-Masih was shown to be a liar/exaggerator in a previous scene. As for the walk on water, we ourselves don't really see that. At least not in a way that would convince me.

I didn't realize who the producers were until I got to the end of the last episode and watched the credits. I was actually quite surprised. It doesn't have the corny, sappy feel that most faith-based material has. Plus they leave the interpretation to the viewer.

where did it show at the end that the kid was lying???

It's in Episode 10, starting around 9:21 up to 10:49. On second viewing I see that it doesn't prove he's a liar but it does portray him as being untrusted.
