they always say when it sounds like some old black woman singing under there. Tears, chills, so many compliments from the judges despite how bad they currently sound, and they seem to stick around longer than they should. Then you have someone that sounds like an old white guy, and no mention of potential legend status. Paul Anka, for god's sake, isn't guessed as a legend till he's almost unmasked. I just have to wonder where the disconnect in thinking is.

Many people watching this have no idea who Paul Anka is. I am 53 and honestly didn't recognize him. It's a sad fact that soon many people won't know who any of the old greats are.

Paul Anka sang Tin Pan Alley disposable pop crud like You Are My Destiny and She’s Having My Baby. He’s a piss-poor excuse for a “legend,” so he fits in perfectly with this mawkish show.
