I'm dubious...
... of the 7.6 IMDB rating for this movie. I just watched it on Netflix.
One of the 10/10 reviews described it as "an edge of your seat thriller"... because nothing is as edge-of-your-seat as watching a mouse drag windows across a screen, and typing into text boxes -- complete with typos and back spacing! -- for 100 minutes.
I was settled well back into my seat and struggling to stay awake (my wife did nod off) as I watched some pretty mediocre acting by all concerned and a lacklustre story.
Who didn't guess that Debra Messing's character was somehow involved with the disappearance? Her dialogue and sketchy acting pretty much gave that plot point away early in the movie.
The bit with the brother threw me off briefly, but it comes and goes so fast as a plot point that it hardly mattered.
I def wouldn't watch this twice and would only weakly recommend it.
