Season One Episode Five Thoughts

The episode starts out with the return of the nasty, filthy harfoots. I find the harfoots to be so annoying with their foolish behavior, bad accents and FILTH. It occurred to me that Meteor Man has gone FULL RETARD.

Adar flips out when the man pledges his loyalty to Sauron so that might mean that Adar is not Sauron?????

Why wouldn't Isildur report the guy who tried to burn down the boat? Wouldn't Isildur have been a hero for reporting him? Isildur would have had to explain why he was on the boat.

The enigmatic Eminem did appear to look at the crater left behind by Meteor Man but she? didn't have any dialogue. The Eminem lookalike is another mystery box that we can debate BUT this mystery will add nothing to the show. Suspenseful cliffhangers work in old-school episodic television BUT it will not work with a streaming service. People no longer have to turn the television on at a set time so a cliffhanger is a waste of time. The writers should just reveal the identity of Eminem immdediately instead of jerking viewers around.

Galadriel showed off her ninja skills with the swords again. It's not realistic but this is no different than any other action show.

Durin is such a petty dwarf. He was originally griping about the wedding and he now makes up a story about the table that he covets.

I wonder about the accuracy of the show's origins of mithril lore. The show states than an elf and balrog were battling over a tree that was struck by lightning and this caused mithril to develop underground. It would be horrible if the writers made up a story about the origins of
mithril.

There is no "origin story". It's just an extremely rare metal which only Dwarves know how to work.
And Elves diminish not because of some "corruption" but because Iluvatar willed so - by the end of the 3rd Age magic is leaving the world and then Arda turns into something like our Earth.

It's a stupid plot idea that simply cannot work because there is not enough mithril to "cure" every Elf.

That doesn't surprise me in the least, crap fanfiction "writers" will make up any bullshit to fit their hackneyed "narrative".

This show is not now and never will be Tolkien canon, so I don't give a flying fuck about it whatsoever.

Isildur is friends with kemen,, and after all kemen was preparing to but had not burned the boat down, Isildur was originally trying to stowawayand and join the expedition, he only blew up the ship after fighting with kemen,

He is rightfully taking the blame, after all he lit the fuse

It would have been cool the table stone wasn't a lie, because the implications are that the elves are robbing graves and an insult that deep would certainly scour all relationships.

That the high elf is like okay just take the stone back instead of recognizing the underlying issue, seemed fairly comical
