Cool...(SPOILERS, if that even applies)

I remember watching a few years ago...now it’s played a lot here stateside on one of my premium channels....funny little bit....a few things I learned, though I don’t know if these things are accurate:

1. I always thought Glen Matlock was a quiet, subdued chap, “always going on about nice things, like the Beatles”, as Johnny Rotten once put it...in this bit, they made him out to be a wise-cracking, goonish little shythead like the rest of the band...interesting

2. I always thought Bill Grundy tried to get back in the broadcasting business, but the reminder of this incident always came back to haunt him...in the bit, it looks like Grundy peacefully accepts his fate, coming to terms with being relegated to drunk evenings at home and waking up to his wife’s bland breakfasts....

3. Malcolm McLaren was portrayed as distraught immediately after the incident, thinking it would ruin the Pistols’ prospects, only to come around once he went to the green room and noticed the phones ringing like crazy and the boys playing it up by answering the calls themselves... it was then that McLaren noticed such publicity was a gift....

4. The woman who played Christine Whitehead (Rachel Bright) is rather pretty...

5. I’ve said it before here at MC, the Sex Pistols need a film made about their exploits....Sid and Nancy does not suffice, the guy could barely play bass and I never thought Vicious to be a very interesting bloke....at the least, a biopic on John Lydon will do...
