What is your reading on the very end?
It's a great scene, but I'm not sure what it means.
shareHe got away with tormenting the teacher. His mom helped cover for him so he didn't get in trouble. Now he is free to be move on with his life, but he is burdened with everything he carries from his past. Kind of an open ending.
shareWhat was up with that girl in his hideout? Did she forgive him? Was the whole thing made up? I also wonder what his mom was thinking when she saw them together.
shareI think that the scene showing them together in the shed (also that she disappeared from the school before claiming that Luce assaulted her) suggests that Luce manipulated or somehow convinced her that he did not hurt her. When his mom saw them, she realised this.
