Very wholesome movie. This movie promoted and valued: team work, family, loyalty to the home country, and self sacrifice for the greater good. Something I do not see in western movies.

The 'angry teenage / preteen kid being a super annoying character' trope seems nearly unavoidable in most apocalyptic movies (this one, War of the Worlds, The Day the Earth stood still etc) and the last hour kept dragging on despite being action-filled, but with a better script and tighter editing, this flick could've been on par with anything Hollyweird has made in this genre.
Yes, the premise is absurd, but that doesn't stop a movie from being entertaining. IMO, this movie was better than Moonfall.
