Is this entertainment? (spoilers)
When a character is so mentally ill, is it still something we can enjoy watching? Or does it become a character study?

Depends how you want to define the word 'entertainment', I suppose. I know most people (not wrongly) use the word to mean something light, fun, delightful and largely disposable -- in which case possibly not.
But it can also mean something that provides interest, that occupies, something that engages the attention, in which case... possibly.
Is it important whether something like this qualifies as 'entertainment' or not, or is it just semantics? You decide.
