Solid opening
The Barge People has a strong opening, with an especially eerie musical score. It takes its time letting us get to know the characters, and a nice - if slight - sense of dread is developed. However, once the bloodletting begins the movie quickly goes downhill. It’s just gore for gore’s sake, and that’s a shame because the build up was pretty good.
