I don't care for it...

Set in prehistoric Europe, in a period about the same as Quest for Fire, this is a distinctly lesser tale of primitive people trying to get by. These ones also speak their own language, and that's OK. As a story of a refugee band that has covered quite a bit of territory and picked up at least one "stray", the film effectively lampshades the obvious problem of different ethnicities in the little group, so we are safe from the idiots who cry "woke" at everything.

It's well acted, atmospheric and the music is good... The Cro Magnons look a bit too well kept, but I could live with that. But much of what happens seems utterly senseless or highly improbable. It surprises me how often the worst thing about sci-fi, horror and fantasy films is the writing.
