Seriously, this movie tragically came and went from theaters without any fanfare. I was briefly aware of it when my kids got toys in their happy meals a few months ago, but these toys’ release were strangely not synched up with the movie’s release. I forgot all about it until it showed up on Disney+ a few days ago, so we watched it. AMAZING film with a relevant message. This movie needs to be seen! Spread the word!

shareI haven't enjoyed any of the recent Pixar (or Disney) movies as much as I enjoyed this. Good animation, good humor, and a good message.
While some pointed out that it has some similarities to "The Mitchells vs. the Machines," I think that's really just superficial and tenuous; they both have morals involving relationships and involve very intelligent machines, but that's it.
A younger relative in my family spoke very warmly about this movie, so I decided to seek this out and found it to be quite stellar! There's plenty of adult humor to make it enjoyable, too. Interestingly, it bears many similarities to the 80s classic 'Short Circuit'. One example, namely, is the fact both films feature a creator, who desires for people to better socialize with others.
