First half is great... last half, cringe-y.
Kate Beckinsale and Charles Dance are always watchable. I thought Shalom Nyandiko who plays Adidja was excellent... a stand out, in fact. I hope she lands more gigs.
There are some dubious side stories woven in that are simply mediocre filler.
But they couldn't help the story which suffers from some emotional leaps of faith and a litany of weak people, which circles back to make the whole arc feel less plausible. Which is unfortunate, because the intrigue built into the first half or the series is pretty decent. That last half brings it from a potential 8/10 down to a generous 4.5/10 for me. Such a shame.
