the math doesn't add up

I already mentioned in another thread that thirty years after the war Ruth and Meyer would have only been in their 50s, not their 70s. It was strange that this inconsistency was never once acknowledged on the show.

Another thing I just thought of: they had a daughter, who subsequently died giving birth to Jonah. Presumably she wasn't 11 or 12 at time of birth?.. πŸ™„ And Jonah is 19. So again, how is this only 30 years after the war??

I guess they just wanted Pacino for the series, and hoped the viewers wouldn't notice or care.

Thank you! I came here to see if others were discussing this. I didn't think much of Meyer and Ruth's age. But Jonah's was really bothering me. That 30-year time period was being mentioned all the time.

But I guess we're the only ones affected by this.. hahaha.

Cheers!

Lol, yeah, I mentioned it on here twice, but no one cared enough to comment.

I was coming to mention that, but I chose to not give it to much importance; otherwise, I would just stop watching the show and was enjoying it so far. Not loving it but I thought it was entertaining.

Well after the final reveal which for me was pointless... and even if it wasn't, it was wasted anyway, it made 0 impact on me... don't ask me why because I am not sure but when it happened I was meh, okay.

In the very first scene we have a young Jewish woman hysterical bec she recognized a NAZI, let's say in 1977 she was 42, ww2 ended in 1945, 32 years before that so she would've been 10?

My mom thought she was about 27 years old.
