some thoughts after two episodes

there's no way his wife would drive around in an crappy car like that. he had resources.

cranston is not in good enough shape to pull off the marathon runner aspect of the plot.

strange to see the deserted urban areas of america. not something we see in canada.

I’m an attorney....my wife is an exec in a media company ....I drive a 2002 Saturn with scratches and about 250k thousand miles.

reply

most people drive reliable cars if they can afford it.

“most” is a different word than “no way”.

We spend our extra money on vacations, or sporting events and concerts.

Having a newer or nicer looking car is not a concern of mine until the one I’ve got just stops working.

So, I don’t it’s impossible they would have a beaten up car....and I don’t really think that car was that bad, anyway.

A judge like Cranston’s character would make about 150k....so clearly not broke...but not really a millionaire either.

reply

most judges were successful lawyers before coming judges.

I would say a good amount of judges were prosecutors before becoming judges...especially state level district judges like this character....and I can say from personal experience that their salaries are comfortable, but not lavish.

I agree, they have a new BMW SUV and an old crappy Volvo? Her personality probably fit VOLVO, but they realistically would have upgraded that.
