I'm almost done, and I'll read the article about what they got wrong, but as heart-pounding drama, this is excellent.
(aside) I'm always amazed by how Jared Harris and Jude Law sound so similar. I sometimes wonder if it is the same actor, but Jarred Harris is his 'serious roles' nom de guerre. But that's just cause they're both such good actors that if they wanted to do that (be the same person), I bet they could pull it off.
They changed some things and even made up people who didn't exist in order to tell the story, there's a plenty of articles and interviews on youtube comparing fact/fiction, but overall it is a very well made series... solid 8/10.

shareI’ve been putting off but finally got around to this. It is indeed an excellent production. It took time to find its feet, and the script had problems - some of the dialogue, particularly for idiotic authority figures, is rather cliched. But the production design, photography and direction are breathtaking, and it’s impossible not to be impressed and moved.
It’s not really an actors’ piece but the central cast does a solid job anchoring the show, 7/10 from me.
