Stanley the French Aristocrat Teenager (spoilers)

This is in the Neibolt Street house, where the Losers see a crumpled-up Stan in the fridge, and he then lets out a scream before his head falls off.

I couldn't help noticing a French Revolution vibe to the whole moment, where it's as if Stan was an aristocrat sentenced to death to the guillotine, and he lets out a defiant yell before the blade severs his head. Even the cut looks clean.

Anyone else think this, or am I just a morbid bastard?

I think the entire scene was ridiculous and tough to watch because of the horrible CGI

The CGI was only on the Stanley Head Spider. It turns out that Stanley in the fridge was actually Wyatt Oleff being a contortionist, for real.

Although I wonder why Muschietti had to throw in The Thing as a reference. Hell, even Indiana Jones was mentioned at the start of the movie!

There was a Shining reference too!
