You can spoil it if you like, I don’t care, but the one & only thing I GOTTA know about this is, is Maturin in it? IF he is, then for how long & how did it come across on the big screen? Did it translate well?

There are at least 3 or 4 Maturin references in the two films, but all very subtle. It seemed the best way to give a nod to an otherwise stupid aspect of the story.

But you never see him? Aw crap that sucks. Believe it or not it was the one thing I wanted to see in this film.

You see him as a lego, as a statue, somewhere else, too. At one point he swims underneath someone in a lake, but doesn't surface.
