Imagine guns not being allowed, Arthur's friend could not have gotten a gun for him, not that easy atleast and it would have cost a fortune to get one illegal, he would not have bothered, he could not afford one, maybe he would have given Arthur a can of maze instead.

Now, if Arthur had not shot those 3 bullys, had he not shot the talk show host, there would be no Joker, there would be no story.

If guns were not allowed in the US, and the laws were like in europe for instance, 85% of hollywood movie would and could not be made because guns feature in so many of them.

So the movie business must actually be the biggest advocate for guns still being legal to own and buy in the US, despite hollywood actors seemingly against them.......

Does anyone understand what i mean?

No easily available gun, no murders, no joker, no movie........ guns make movies, guns make money.

I am european, i have no problem with the US and their guns, all i am saying, no gun, no Joker....... am i right?

If gravity had stopped, everyone would have drifted into space and Joker would have been too preoccupied to think about his problems. Maybe he would have really appreciated what he did have before his coming death.

Either Arthur or Randall could easily have acquired the gun illegally from someone and then the movie would still work

Besides that, there's a difference between movies and reality

Joker may have got all stabby stabby with a knife instead as it happens here in Australia and I know in the UK and parts of Europe.

The rise of knife crime in England and Wales

So different country different setting and still a Joker could happen but with a different way of doing what he did, it was the USA so a Gun was used instead though. Especially on the Talk Show with Murray, Joker could easily be across the desk from where he was sitting and on Murray thrusting a knife into him before anyone there realised what was happening.

There was no way Ledger's Joker would have worked in real life. As you said, if he were not dead, this rendition of Joker would receive zero praises.

Guns ARE allowed in Europe (and the UK). Gun control isn't about not allowing people to have guns. It's about not allowing nut-jobs to have them ffs

Are handguns banned in the UK?

Members of the public may own sporting rifles and shotguns, subject to licensing, but handguns were effectively banned after the Dunblane school massacre in 1996 with the exception of Northern Ireland.

even cops don't have guns.......... no wonder the muzzies took over, spineless brits smh

It's possible to own handguns in the UK legally. They have to have certain features depending on the caliber but they're certainly easy to get on a firearms certificate.
