Would you watch this movie twice?
I was reading an article today about how people in real life are gathering at that staircase to take videos of them doing that little dance number he did...(the crowd has become annoying, as people are having to go around the long way to avoid it, apparently)
And I just kept thinking that that was the only part of the movie that really stood out as being "good". That was the moment he kind of shed his inhibitions, he'd found himself...you weren't sure what was going to happen next, but there was promise there...and it was a much needed change of character from the wholly anti-charismatic guy we'd been following around for the hour or so prior.
And that prior hour was almost painful to watch at times, uncomfortable, the bleakness, awkwardness, that giggling and all...and then finally the payoff!! Where...eh he really didn't change that much, really. Certainly not to a level that even slightly resembled the Joker we know as Batman's arch nemesis.
That dance scene was the pinnacle though, and aside from that, I couldn't imagine watching this movie a second time.
