A location from Joaquin Phoenix's Joker movie has become a hilarious meme

However, there has been a backlash to this brand new tourist location, as locals are unhappy about the influx of visitors to the spot.

This has morphed into some taking to Twitter to warn people away from the location by spreading harmless jokes or more worrying rumours about potential robberies taking place.

Its a sad attempt and they should have just enjoyed the movie.

This could really help the area - they could out some nice restaurants, cafes, hotels, and apartments in the area, make it more upmarket :)

It's a public through-way, it shouldn't be ticketed.
