Just finished Season 1. (No Spoiler)

WOW! Not what I expected.

Working through Season 2.

Season 3? Any news?

reply

Just finished Season 2. There better be a Season 3. They can't leave it hanging like that.

reply

Season Three has been Greenlit and Ioan Gruffold will apparently be directing a few episodes.

reply

I'm only up to fourth ep in first season. But yeah I'm liking it. Plus it's set in Brisbane, my town, kinda fun seeing all the places I walk past daily.

reply

I'm half way through S2 and was very very upset at what they did to a certain character.

One of the best things about the show in our opinion was his relationship with Simon. Killing Simon off bummed us out too much. We are having a hard time getting on with the show. Were viewers in OZ pissed off about this development like we were? Did the actor quit or was this the writers? Hated Fern in S1 but warming up to her now. The story of the week is not always very good but the characters are great and that keeps us hooked.

Fern is back to being insufferable and idiotic. The writing has gone way down hill. Episodes loaded with logic and continuity flaws. A really bad show ... but we love the main characters so much that we basically enjoyed it. Hated James start to finish. The main arc in this season was just terrible.

We got over Simon's death real fast. Probably best that they killed him before they ruined him.

reply

Agree that this season was not up to snuff.
He should have let them throw James over. Thank god there's no reason to bring him back. Unless they decide to recover the boat.

Apparently it did get decent ratings. There's already talk of Season 4 but I got the impression this was really final. Everything wrapped up in nice tight package.

reply

I wondered about renewal myself. It did seem final.

Looked it up and discovered that it is the number 4 show in OZ and the #1 show on its network. So S4 seems highly likely. That 3rd season airing during lockdown probably helped cover its rust.

They dropped the ball this season. Gentle, amiable Harrow didn't kill anyone. We liked that crazy aspect of the show. Were there different show runners this season?

reply

I'm at series 3, episode 4. It's on Alibi in the UK at the moment.

James is a poorly realised character with no apparent redeeming qualities, and a wooden actor to boot. I hope he buggers off soon. Fern is still irritating.

The other characters are still great though.

Been two years since season 3. Officially Harrow has not been cancelled but haven't heard any news about a new season.

I'm not familiar with Australian TV. Is this common to leave a show in limbo? Seems to me with the shorter seasons, they would want to announce as soon as possible in order to keep fans interested.

reply

I'm still hearing that season 4 is coming but no official notices either way.

reply

I'm guessing it's done but officially, it hasn't been cancelled yet.
