Choosing the 6 and then the captains...

.......i don't want to have a "makes no sense" topic but i can't think of another way to word it!
When johnny suggests they spar to decide who goes, daniel dismisses it - he doesn't want them risking injury before the tournament or turning up with black eyes and bruises. Fair enough.
And the first day Mike Barnes assesses them, they just do a little light sparring.
After this, though, they go at it for the flags, both at the dojo and especially in the woods - i think barnes even uses the words "by any means necessary".
Eli could have broke his back when he lands on that rock after demitri kicks him.
And then just for good measure, Daniel then has their best 4 students fight each other anyway for the captaincy!
And it's not just the risk of physical injury - it's that going up against each other was so bad for morale - Anthony and Kenny's uneasy truce was over and it caused friction with Miguel and Robbie.
Daniel was all over the place throughout this - unless that was the point?

I love the first five seasons of this show and I didn’t hate season six but like I said in other threads that I’ve made about this show, season six’s storylines are thin at best. Maybe I’m just getting tired of the show in general? That tends to happen to me quite often with shows that are beloved by many people. It basically happens to me with almost every show. But the karate kids part one and two are some of my favorite movies of all time so needless to say I love this television series as well. I just find season six to be not only thin in the storylines but also reaching very far and wide in order to continue the series. I don’t know if they’re gonna do this still but they were talking about doing a World War II prequel style TV series or possibly movie about Mr. Miyagi. I really hope they don’t do that because that sounds awful. The world doesn’t need any more World War II content.

I can't wait if they do a WW2 Miyagi movie. Maybe have his battalion captured by the Japanese one of the Pacific Islands. Mr Miyagi escapes and single handedly liberates the island from Japanese rule
