shareApparently people in your strange land call bathing suits swimming shorts?
shareGood one.
Im refering to Daniel saying all the lads are wearing his bathing suits in season 1 episode 2
I understood... was just answering in a silly way. Yes, in the U.S. we call whatever you wear to swim a bathing suit. I've never heard them referred to as swimming shorts. Sometimes we might say swimming trunks for a men's suit, or bikini for the two-piece women's suit, but bathing suit is the standard term.

Speak for yourself. In my neck of the woods, no one calls a pair of shorts a "bathing suit". They are called "shorts" or, less commonly, "swim trunks". "Bathing suit" refers to what females typically wear when they go swimming. Do a Google image search for bathing suit. How many guys wearing shorts do you see?
When I was a kid in southern California in the '60s and '70s men's swimwear was always referred to as "swimming trunks", and women's swimwear was always called a "bathing suit" or a "bikini" if it was two-piece. Today I usually hear "bathing suit" used to refer to both men's and women's swimwear. I don't hear "swimming trunks" much anymore.
shareSame.
shareI've always heard swim trunks or sometimes swim shorts. Bathing suits is still used, though. It's more of a catch-all term.
shareNo, its a plot hole
shareDoesn't really effect the plot.
shareIt could NEVER be a plot hole since it is 100% accurate. Here in America the terms, bathing suit, swim suit, swim trunks, are all very common. It is definitely not a Cobra Kai thing.
shareMost people call them bathing-suits or swim-trunks. But my father, who was from Ireland, always called them swim-togs.
