What was William Zabka father on the show job way back when ?

He worked at Lorimar Productions. Around 1984 the company was on fire with hit shows like Dallas, Knots Landing, and Falcon Crest. Not to mention movies like The Postman Always Rings Twice , An Officer and a Gentleman, The Last Starfighter & The Dead Zone.

He also worked on Iron Eagle! Likely why the Johnny character loves that movie so much.....other than it being a badass 80’s movie.

Was this stated on the show that his dad worked on Iron Eagle ? This cuz Iron Eagle was developed over at Tri Star. A competitor of Lorimar.

Zabka's (Johnny's) father on the show is Edward Asner, a character actor in movies and tv shows since the 1950s, best known for "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Lou Grant".
