SPOILER ... I think it would be perfect if it last just one more season

I love this show very much but I am worried of it overstaying it's welcome. I think for narrative purpose the show should do only one more season. The way season 2 ended set up for what could be the perfect end to the story. Johnny and Larusso teaming up against the one true villain of the Karate kid verse, Krees. I just think 3 seasons of a well told story is better than a show that stretch it's story line too much.

I agree. As much as I enjoy it I feel like the characters story arcs would be best served by one more season and more than that likely would be overstaying its welcome.

I agree. In reality this show should have a short lifespan because the constant 80s nostalgia will only take you so far, and quite honestly I don't know if there are too many people tuning in to follow the younger characters and their problems. I can almost guarantee you that 35 years from now, there won't be a TV show or a movie trying to follow up on the lives of Miguel, Sam, and Robbie. I think their further adventures will be limited to the realm of fanfiction.

As much as in love the show I would prefer it end in another season or two then just get dragged out until it jumps the shark.

The way I see it the show revolves around a few key stories which once resolved the show comes to a natural end.

* Daniel and Johnny's rivalry.
* The power and abuse of karate.
* Johnny and his son.
*Krease.

To try and drag these stories out would become tiresome and whiny. You could keep adding characters and problems but in the end they wool just repeat themselves.

The last episode was such a cartoony and overly dark mess, that I wonder if they can stich it up for season 3 anymore.

It could easily become another 'Return of the Jedi' situation.

In that movie, all the loose ends left from previous movies were a bit too quickly and neatly tied up, so the movie is actually a bit more boring than it has to be, and the storyline is too 'expected' instead of something new.

(Of course some bits are still legendary classics, like Luke's and Darth Vader's climactic fight)

I guess they will bring Ali back, and defeating Cobra Kai becomes some kind of main purpose - there will be more boring teenage drama, and more SJW-stuff, and Daniel will be a hothead... but all it is fine, AS LONG as they remove that horrible stain on this show; the stupid stingray cartoon character.

"* The power and abuse of karate."

Yes, there's also 'two different sides' to consider.

Mr. Miyagi's 'inner strength and focused mind'-style, that is more powerful in most situations, and then Cobra Kai's aggressive, purely physical destruction without mercy and with all the power and speed you can muster.

It would be interesting to see these two things clash powerfully and seeing the winner. (If they dare to declare one)
