Just finished the last episode and I'm crying ... with relief I expect. I had no idea it was a true story until I googled it mid episode 2. So pleased they found the truth albeit far too late. I hope these men find some good in their lives to try and destroy their truley shocking treatment.
Korey's struck me the most just because he wasn't even on the police radar - he was just looking out for his friend, and he got the worst punishment 😦
This is the most powerful film/series I've seen in years.

Lester Holt of NBC did a few interviews with the five boys and the director. You can probably find them online...

I couldn’t agree more! This was powerful stuff, really enjoyed it. I don’t remember hearing about this back in ‘89 so thank you Netflix.

I just finished it now. I took me near a month to watch because I kept feeling sick and would have to take long breaks.
I do remember when the rape happened and I also remember when they were exonerated.
That last part that focused on Korey was just so difficult to manage. I feel emotionally drained now, just from the last 15 minutes (that was how much I had left for today).

All the money in the world does not make up for what those boys lost.

Jharrel Jerome was outstanding playing Korey Wise. I was so happy when he won the Emmy!

I agree. I hadn't watched any movies in years and this was the only one that I was interested in
