I just walked out from Breaking In... It's Pretty Decent! (I Must Say)

I just walked out from seeing Breaking In... It's Pretty Decent, albeit a bit typical.

The acting and casting was all pretty good.

I think Gabrielle Union still looks amazing (Age 45) and she did a great job of being our Tough Hero.

I liked that there were no "racial" overtones to the movie. The family was black, The criminals were not. That's it. It ends there.

There were a couple of tiny plot holes... but nothing too ridiculous.

My only real gripe about the flick is that it was too dark... More lighting was needed.
However, the low light situation did make it more realistic overall.

I disagree. I also just got out of the movie a few hours ago, and it was complete garbage. Most of it didn't make any sense. The acting was terrible, the writing was terrible, and it should have ended roughly twenty minutes in

Just out of curiosity, which parts didn't make sense to you?

At any given point, the "bad guy" was able to just say "Ok, here's the kids. Walk away, come back in 24 hours" and things would have been fine for everyone. But no, just because "OMG EVIL HE-MAN WOMAN HATER" goes so far as to kill the ONLY person who could get him into the safe (if they ever found it) - just because.

Also, what alarm company is going to wait 90 minutes before responding?

How did it go from day to middle-of-the-night that quickly? Sure, 90 minutes is a long time, but that had to be way longer, especially because the husband who "couldn't make it for the weekend" gets there less than an hour later.

Why were the motion detectors only picking up things that were convenient to move the plot, but nothing else?

Why didn't she just sneak into the house when she saw all three of the people outside, and the door left wide open?

You didn't see it
