If you're not interested in the 60s and you're not interested in filmmaking, you're not gonna enjoy this movie

Firstly, the nostalgia for the 60s has been overdone

And secondly, this is a filmmaker making a movie about filmmaking, so if you're an average person like me, you're not gonna find this relatable

I watched only the first 1 hour of the movie, but couldn't anymore because it's so boring for the above reasons

I think you're wrong because I know 2 people who have no interest in 60s nor film making and yet they liked the movie. If you want to generalize, maybe it would be more accurate if you add condition: "if you also don't like Tarantino". Because I think that's the most important factor. Some people like his style and some hate it and I think that's more relevant than the theme of the movie. That actually goes for most of his movies - you don't have to be a fan of samurai/martial arts films to like Kill Bill, westerns to like Django, WW2 to like Inglorious Basterds, gangster movies to like PF/RD/JB and so on.
