Watched this movie for the first time since it first came out. I remember thinking it was cheesy and over-the-top, but watching it again, those aspects actually make it unique compared to other superhero films. It’s actually fun to see Wonder Woman get in the cartoony fights and her relationship with Steve. A pretty fun movie!

It got brigaded by the alt-right wanker brigade. They tried to do it with the first one but the critics and casuals lapped it up and it was a massive hit so it didn't work but this one was released day-and-date on HBO max during the pandemic (therefore the box office was poor) and truth be told it wasn't as good as the first, so the misogynistic anti-semites managed to turn the tide against it.
I think another issue was that the DCEU had a Snyder fanboy problem. They lapped up the 'dark and gloomy' DCEU brand and looked down on the more colorful and 'fun' MCU with detest... WW84 is colorful and fun, also by design it's a movie that can appeal to women a bit more than the typical superhero movie which the comic book nerds don't like (most of them are men).
A lot seem to take issue with it being a bit cheesy... I guarantee you almost all of those people who say this is bad because it's cheesy will love other superhero movies that are pure cheese.
