Being released on HBO Max and Theatres on the 25th Dec, Jesus wept, what an awful decision, add this to the list of DCEU bombs.
shareI'm not sure it's such a bad decision. Lots of people are not going to party this year on christmas. They most likely will watch tv and they'll want something new.

shareNot saying it's not going to flop on the big scale but a lot of people, me included, don't give a damn about christmas movies. They'll be happy to have a new potential blockbuster to watch. It'll take their mind away from the shitty christmas of this year.
shareWaaaay back when the first Charlie's Angels movie came out, my family watched it on Christmas day. It was pretty much the only time we've ever gone to a theater on the day, but it happens.
shareAlso, The Exorcist opened a december 26th and it was a huge success. So it's not a guaranteed fail for a movie to open during the holidays.
shareI think you're right. Families will watch it at home of Christmas Day afternoon/evening and others will save it for a Boxing Day outing. At the very least it's a bold strategy for these odd times.
