shareI wonder now if they will move Black Widow.
shareDid they ever gave Black Widow a new release date? I know they delayed it but then moved the eternals to Nov or something like that but don't remember them saying a date for BW.
shareDisney will probably dump Black Widow on Disney+ like with Mulan for a $30 rental.

Sadly not a surprise, but yes Warner Bros. confirmed that it’ll be delaying what was supposed to be the next big movie, Wonder Woman 1984, from October 2, 2020 to December 25, 2020. That means the Gal Gadot superhero sequel has had six different release dates, which is (at least in modern times) a new record. Now that’s obviously due to unprecedented circumstances, but the film also initially scheduled itself for December 13, 2019 before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker dated itself for December 20, 2019. Patty Jenkins’ DC Films sequel then moved to November 1, 2019, which would have put it just before Terminator: Dark Fate, No Time to Die, Charlie’s Angels and Frozen II.
But then, and this made sense at the time, they shifted to June 5, 2020, three years to the weekend of the first Wonder Woman. Had things gone as planned, the Gal Gadot/Chris Pine period piece action fantasy would have easily dominated the summer in terms of domestic grosses and likely squared off against Black Widow, F9 and Minions 2 in terms of global earnings as well. And heck, considering how irrelevant Terminator: Dark Fate and Charlie’s Angels turned out, maybe Diana could have stood tall alongside Anna and Elsa in November. But I digress, at the time, it made 100% sense to open Wonder Woman 1984 on the same weekend as Wonder Woman.
There is a cruel irony in how many of the big 2020 releases affected by the pandemic were initially intended to be 2019 releases. Wonder Woman 1984, No Time to Die, Top Gun: Maverick and Sonic the Hedgehog were all intended for last year.
