So very different
I watched this over the last several days and while I enjoyed it (mostly), it was so different than what came before. I guess they decided to ignore the final three books, with the exception of a few characters and I guess it worked.
One thing I really loved was Laura Linney's Mary Ann! She was spot on for me and it was a pleasure to see her return to the role.
The ending was the most bothersome for me and I'm not sure what I think about it. It was both expected and disappointing at the same time.
